My daughter lives in Swampscott, a town about 20 miles east of Boston. Today she took pictures at the Copley Square memorial of the Boston Marathon shooting. Each image was unique but this one seemed to contain the whole range of symbols, from the running shoes to the musical tributes to the well-loved stuffed animals and a Boston Red Sox baseball cap. She wrote that standing there left her choked up but she was glad to be there on a beautiful day in Boston.
