While visiting the garden after lunch, I came upon a kindergarten class having a hands-on science lesson. When I stopped to observe, the teacher pointed me to the infestation of aphids on the "Knock Out" Roses bordering the kindergarten building. She said you could see the remains of their exoskeletons caught in a spider web attached to the roses. The challenge was to focus on the web, not the background. I'm not sure if the spider ate the aphids or they just shed their outer skeletons before doing something else.
