Yesterday afternoon a line of thunderstorms came swiftly through the area. The wind was strong and left destruction in its wake. This downed branch was more inconvenient than dangerous (although there is a car underneath to the left.) The worst tragedy was the death of a 4 year old who was at a park with his father and brother. As they were trying to make it to shelter, a tree was suddenly uprooted and struck the little boy, killing him instantly. His father was injured and his brother got out of the way in time. Such is the capriciousness of Life.
