A Key Shot

This is where I was headed when I stopped to help the little boy with his flowers. The science teacher had come to the library to get an insect guide after a child had spotted this beast scuttling down the corridor. A teacher scooped it up into a mason jar. I put the key beside it to give a sense of size. First we though it might be an ear wig but their pincers are more curved. Next possibility a juvenile cricket, but its legs seen wrong. Any entomologists out there who might give us the definitive answer?
Very cool!!!!

I think it is a mole cricket. They have those front claws they dig under ground with. They are a pest, and eat roots. Family Gryllotalpidae ?
