Kevin the tile man was here today, installing the backsplash, and he brought his associate, a Jack Russell/chihuahua mix. The pup waited patiently in the car as Kevin went back and forth between the kitchen and his workspace outside. He reminded me of the oft-quoted line from English poet John Milton, "They also serve who only stand and wait."
He is certainly performing his allotted task well.
