It was 34 degrees when I parked at school this morning, and the rising sun promised warmer temperatures. Surely this pile of snow would diminish as the day went on. Unfortunately, when I left at 4 PM, although the snow on the lawns had begun to diminish, the piles made by the snow plow had not markedly reduced. "Maybe tomorrow", she daydreamed fervently.
@Weezilou Why you scientist you! Too bad we can't spread out the snow piles to hasten melting. BTW, I think I have coined a new word -- the noun which results from melting, i.e. "meltage" What do you think?
@allie912 You're the linguist and I think it's a marvelously chosen word! There are new words added to the dictionary every year, so given the winter so many are experiencing, it might get a push!
