I spotted this pumpkin in a raised bed in the school garden. Apparently some of the seeds that had not been scooped out have started to sprout. I don't imagine they will make it through the winter, but as of this moment, it has a lot of potential.
@Weezilou Here is what I learned when I posted this on FB "That is our JK experiment!!! We cut the top off and then added dirt. The seeds sprouted and the children loved watching the sprouts grow. We will cover the entire pumpkin with dirt later this week and see if a pumpkin sprout/ vine will come up this spring!!! Great picture!!!
@allie912 That is so awesome! I'm going to share the idea with my daughter in CA! Of course they won't have the snow, but the Early Learning Center might like to do that!
