Maddie will be going to middle school next year, and nowadays making the decision is like choosing a college. There are many choices depending on your district and your abilities. Maddie was accepted into the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) magnet program at this school, and by happy circumstance, it is close enough to home that she will be able to ride her bike. And of course in Florida, that means almost every day. We made this the destination for an excursion she and I took on our last day together. I was happy to be able to picture her in her new surroundings.
Nice excursion for your last day. I was amazed to learn how complicated middle school admissions had gotten in some places--like in the DC area where my niece lives.
