Ever since I first read about cheese curds and their magic squeak, I have been dying to try them. However, since they are produced in Wisconsin and I’m pretty sure I don’t have a trip to Wisconsin in my future, I thought I would be out of luck. Then what should I come upon in the specialty cheese department at Kroger’s but small batch local cheese curds! I snatched them up and whisked them home.
Only one problem. When you bite into them,they don’t squeak. In all fairness, this product doesn’t promise squeaks. Maybe they have to be from Wisconsin. Sigh.
I have never seen or heard of these before but you have piqued my interest so I'm going to look out for them. According to Google, all cheese curds squeak against the teeth when bitten into ??
