Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water

I'm on a bit of a bridge kick lately. Today, I dropped Clara off at preschool and had a little extra time to kill before going to gym. I drove around my neighborhood and stopped to take a few photos on the way. I love having quiet moments to myself to take photos for a change. It had been 2+ weeks of the kids being home.

I am really torn on which one to post today. The composition of this one is best, but the lighting in the other one is magical and the reflection of the third one rocks. I may post a couple others in my extra album.

Here is a shot of the reflections in the water from my other album: http://365project.org/amandalomonaco/themes-challeng/2013-01-08

And this was the shot with the magic lighting: http://365project.org/amandalomonaco/themes-challeng/2013-01-07

I love this one but you are right, they all have something special of their own.

I love covered bridges and this one is great with the snow on its roof

There is a song entitled "Muddy Waters" too! Great shot!

Tough choice on choosing the favorite. Each shot is offering a different perspective. This is nicely composed and balanced shot.

I really like how this is composed. The water leads your eye very naturally to the bridge.

so pretty! even if it is muddy

Beautifully composed shot. The water is really muddy!

Stunning composition and love the title!

@aspada I know...it looks so yucky brown. It was muddy, but stupidly I warmed it up in processing (I've been on a golden tones kick, too) and it came out looking like a chocolate river. Maybe I should have titled it something like "Willy Wonka's Chocolate River." Shoot, I should have thought it through more that brown water is NOT so pretty. Oh well. Thanks for your comments, Amy!

And this one sort of incorporates all three.
That is one muddy stream. Perfect title

@swguevin Thanks so much, Sheila. It was fun to do the snowman killing shots with you:).

@meisen325 Thanks, Monica!!

@soboy5 Snow makes things so beautiful. Unless it is dirty snow. Thanks, Danny. I loved covered bridges as well. This is a foot bridge near our home. And thanks for the offer with legal advise...I still have my one call to make;-).

@maggiemae That would have been a good title. The water is not normally brown like this. Snow run off, I guess. Thanks, lady!

@grizzlysghost Thanks, Aaron. In retrospect, I wish that I had deemphasized the browness. I actually warmed it up and make it even browner. Oh well...

@paulavdmerwe Thanks so much, Paula!

@bardejov Aw, thank you, lady!

@dapinsker Thanks so much, Marc!

@vickisfotos Thanks, Vicki...and being the fool that I was I actually made it look browner...muddier in processing. Oh well...

@rachelmackenzie Thanks so much, Rachel!!

@cdonohoue I know. Snow run off, perhaps? Not normally this way.

@aleksandra Oh my goodness...it was awesome! Thanks, Aleksandra!

@automaticslim Really appreciate that, Andy. I was feeling lame for using such a brown muddy shot, but you made me feel better:).

@copperheadglass I loved how reflective the 'mud' was:). Thanks, lady!

@cheribug I totally should have gone with a Willy Wonka title. Thanks so much, Cheryl!

@blestmom4 If only the water weren't so brown. I loved the reflection and the snow on it, though! Happy weekend, friend!!

@darsphotos Thanks so much, Miss Darlene. It was pretty with the snow...not so much the brown water!
