I wanted to get my brown water photo from yesterday (bad processing choice, I think) down as my picture of the day, so I am uploading another image from yesterday early today. Not erasing the chocolate water one, just getting up a new one now.
This lake borders our neighborhood and I have enjoyed seeing it ice over this winter (our first one here). I love how the morning light looks sparkling on the ice.
Super once again. You can tell this is going to be good by the thumbnail, a sure sign that the composition's a strong one ... and the light's gorgeous.
It looks like we are heading into a thaw. I was hoping that since Old Man Winter showed in in time for Christmas that he would hang around until Spring instead of the weather fluctuating.

@northy I am loving warm tones lately. I tend to warm up most of my photos these days. It backfired on me yesterday with my shot of the muddy brown water. My warming really emphasized the muddiness. Whoops!:)
Wow, this is fabulous. Composition is spot on, with the water creating a glow throughout the photo, highlighting the solidity of the docks. Perfection.
