This week I was assigned the 50's as my Get Pushed challenge. So today, I bought myself some new vintage specs and some Hubba Bubba at the party store, put on my 50's looking clothes and did some bubble gum selfies. It was so tough to time the bubble with the self timer (I so need a remote timer) and Hubba Bubba didn't make the best bubbles. It started out slimy and then got too tough to blow. I wanted enormous bubbles, too, and it just wasn't working for me. I was a bit lightheaded afterwards.
The look I was going for was Patty Wilcox from Grease. The preppy good girl. That would have been me in High School had I lived in the 50's!

I'm amazed you could keep a straight face for all this! I would have not only been dizzy with all that huffing and blowing but in fits with the look of the picture!
Very cute!! I love the vintage feel of it! I was just thinking it was time to do something with bubble gum. I don't think my kids are very good at bubbles though so it might involve me!

HAhahhaha been raking my brain over the make of my fave bubble gum, and it came to me today - Chiclets! Delicious and not diff. to blow either :) Fun take on the challenge!
@abhijit Thanks, Abhijit. It was the only way I could think to pull off a 50's shot for my push with a tight budget. If only I had a 57 Chevy in the background!
@edie $6.99 party store. How else could I do a 50's shot? That was a tough push. I thought to do a pin up girl type shot, but didn't have the time or gumption to pull it off then.
