There is just something about them for me. As I was taking this shot, I was pleased that the line of the shadow and even the yellow road lines made it in there. And then in the distance there is a power line if you squint.
@snaggy Nope, I just took a couple shots and didn't adjust the dof. I wonder if I'd have preferred a shallow one? I did like the strong shadows and I would have lost that perhaps. Thanks!
Wonderful composition! I just love the lines in this, the fence and the shadows. And I'm glad you mentioned the yellow road lines. I love what they add to the shot, even being just a small part of it!
@emrob I had more, but the shot was crooked and I had to straighten it. It killed me to lose much of the road line and some of the shadows, but crooked didn't work either. Sometimes, I unintentionally angle to get what I want in the shot. Thanks, my friend! One of my facebook friends, who majored in photography, said that I should crop the road out, but I couldn't do it. I liked what it added!
@eyesmile Your comments made me smile. Thanks, sweet lady. The shot was actually better composed with more of the road in there, but crooked and I had to straighten it and lose some of it and the shadow. It made me sad, but still good. I need to work on not shooting crooked!! I think that I often tilt to get what I want in the shot.
