I've never considered myself a morning person before. I think I am becoming one, though. I just love that early morning light and how it makes even the mundane look gorgeous.
This was a pretty sight I enjoyed on my morning runs and finally captured it with the camera.
Gorgeous light and shadow. I really should try harder and make myself get out of bed sooner than I do. I'd like to capture some of that golden light myself xx
I love the glow in this shot. The morning is definitely a beautiful and peaceful time of the day. I'm a morning person most of the time. And shots like this, make waking up early all the more worthwhile!
Yes. It is very pretty. And you caught it well. I have always loved mornings, although it's not as easy for me to get myself out of bed as it used to be.
Beautiful light and shadow. Morning light is fabulous but still can't be dragged out of bed that easily plus I live in a fairly dodgy area of London so being out alone in the early hours is not always advisable! Maybe will do it in the winter when it gets light much later... But then it will be cold!!
@roseolivia I wish it were easier as women to be safe to go out and take photos when we want. It stinks to have less freedom to do so. It's limiting us to always have to take a friend. Wish we could join each other, Rachel. Luckily, my area is pretty safe and I only go out when there is some light or with the guard dog.
I'm glad your starting to enjoy the morning light. I love it along with the peace and quiet that you don't always get with the golden light at the end of the day. Love the light and shadows.
@thirtysevenways So, if an Aussie says to me, "How's the serenity?" what is that supposed to mean? And thank you. I wish it were easier as a lady to get out for this. I can't really go out in the dark alone without being foolish. Need to get some local peeps here to join me next time, perhaps. But oh the peace is amazing!! I need more of it.
I agree, safety is important. I laughed out loud when I read 'How's the serenity?'. It's from a very famous, in Australia, Australian movie called The Castle. You need to watch it to understand :)
@thirtysevenways Watched a clip. Was it said more than the once? Looked like a fun, quirky movie. My favorite Australian movie (ok, read one of the few or only that I have seen) was Muriel's Wedding. Our quotable movie here is The Christmas Story. Have you seen it?
@fueast I loved that it looked that way. It was hot hot hot when I took this, but today feels very fallish. Thanks, lady. Glad you are back!! I've got Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on the top of my to read list. We are actually starting a book club and will read that first. Hope that it's all that:)!
I def need to become one! It makes you a better photog, i think! I'm always out and about in the middle of the day cursing the harshness of sunlight! This scene is super gorgeous, BTW! I just want to put Anne of Green Gables and her bicycle into it, walking side-by-side with her beloved Gilbert! :-)
@tabbycat Oh I LOVED Gilbert...and those movies/books. Love this dreamy trail:). Being able to walk to it within a few minutes helps me to get up early.
@amandal It's been a while since I have watched it and can't remember if it was said only once. 'Tell him he's dreaming' and 'This is going straight to the pool room' are other quotes Aussies say all the time from the movie. I loved Muriel's Wedding and also The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I read the wiki page for The Christmas Story and I don't think I've seen it. Will have to check it out.
@anazad511 Thanks so much, Ana. Really appreciate your kind comments and fav!
