Today is a sunny day. I grabbed Clara, the dog and my camera and we went outside for a nice walk and to soak in the D.
I had this idea for a photo yesterday, but it didn't work in the yucky gray.
I'm smiling again. Singing a merry tune. And happy for the season that is unfolding so beautifully.
Yesterday evening, the sun peeked through the clouds for a few moments and I ran out to the back deck, lifted my face to the light and basked like Elliot, our old bearded dragon, used to sit on his log under the heat lamp. It felt great.
Everyone is inspiring me with their reflections shots! That's my challenge for get-pushed and I feel like I'm going to get mush! This is beautiful. Love the added flip too.
@amandal Yeah, water is near, but time is short these days with work. I've been wanting to use a mirror and my idea of reflection does not always include the thing being reflected in the piece if that makes sense, but my first attempt confused folks. That would not be the first time I did that! :)
This is really lovely, cool and vibrant. It works so well upside down. Whew, gettin' dizzy. Love your description of getting sun. And darlin'/sugar/baby/honey (as all are called down south), the contraction is spelled y'all. Sooner or later, all Ohioans move down, so I want to make sure you're prepared! ;o)
@riverlandphotos Shoot...I've been gone from the south too long and forgot how to spell y'all. Thanks for the correction. I grew up in FL, which is maybe not the true south, so perhaps I am off the hook;-). Thanks for your fun comments...and sorry I made you sick with this one;-).
@maggiemae We left him in California when we moved. Michael's coworker bought him from us! He was a good lizardy. We loved him, but couldn't drive cross country with him.
@fishy Shoot, I hate that I am making people sick with my photo today. Sorry, Andrew. Take a dramamine or maybe stop drinking while you are looking at photos;-). And thanks, I think.
Heh heh, just read your response two shots back, and hearkened back to Puddle Week, where evidently we'd just met. I stayed flipped for four days... couldn't get enough of it.
@squamloon Hey, I remember your upside down photo and series. I even commented on it. Hope that my above response was taken as silly and not rude. Hope that you start sleeping better. I'm doing a tad better these days. Though my 7 year old woke me up last night.
@darsphotos You are so sweet, my friend. For some reason, though, your fav, didn't take. Can you retry the button? Thanks, lady!!:) How are your leaves looking now?
@amandal Thank you for saying something about the fav. I fixed it and it is now there. The leaves are turning a bit more now but not a lot more. Still a lot of green. Been in the low 80's here and perfect at the coast where my Mom lives in Daly City.
Really loved and appreciated every one of your comments and faves on this flippin' fun fall photo. And I apologize profusely to those of you I made feel a little queasy with the flip. Thank you, my friends!
@dh@snaggy Aw, thanks so much, my friends for the faves. You helped to push this onto PP. I was pretty excited with this shot and loved the title...it makes me smile:). I appreciate you both!
