I went back to the gutter today. To wallow, to play, to shoot. Sometimes, I feel as if I have been kicked to the curb.
The sun has been slowing peeking through the clouds today and winked at me a bit while I took Clara for a very cold, windy walk around the lake. On the way back home, I was admiring all of the leaves in the road, collected in the gutter and blowing around under passing cars. I particularly liked how this gutter reflected the blue sky finally and the fall leaves from the tree above.
I am consistently getting up at 4 in the morning and tossing and turning for much of the rest of the night lately. As a result, I have a constant dull headache and feel kinda grumpy. Today, I am mad at the world.
Hope for good sleep tonight and more regularly. And glad that the sun is shining again at least for awhile. Perhaps it will help my moodiness and keep me out of the gutters.

Fantastic colours and images here, love the blue sky and the colours of the leaves whidh are slightly out of focus and muted. awdul when you wake in the night and can't get back to sleep again, hope your night is peaceful tonight. Fav for this.

I've never seen anybody's mind be so "in the gutter" with such a beautiful result ;-). Great eye to catch this but I hope your headache and all associated with it lessens soon.
Great abstract look and full of fall colors!! Hey..I am with you. Charlie has been wanting to go out about 3 AM...once I am up...I am up! Try to get back get back to sleep, but no luck! This happens at least once or twice a week. And it doesn't even get light until after 7 AM!!

Hey, I'm just catching up on your photos with my coffee before I settle into grading, grading, grading. Hang in there. Use fillers if you have to. Don't give up. I'm having similar sleep issues. It kills me. I have no energy and I'm frustrated much of the time. Oh, and I'm loving your shots. Really.

@moreyoulessme Thanks, lady. I should start taking D as it gets grayer this winter. I am a person that needs 8 hours, too. Last night I got 3 or 4. Ugh!
