9 years ago today, my life changed forever, and for the better. I became a mama for the first time and my son, Lucas Gabriel was born and entered our lives, disrupting our sleep, making us a family of 3 instead of 2 and all around turning life on it's head. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
I realized that at 9, he is possibly halfway through his time at home with us, should he leave at 18. That's a sobering thought. So much left to teach him and do with him yet.
My Lucas is a dream child, a super student, kind hearted, respectful and even artistic. I am so very blessed to have him in my life, that I am his mama.
I started doing birthday portraits of him on his first birthday and still continue with the tradition. such a beautiful smile! I know - how time flies, my eldest is 8 and I think of him as my baby still... That is until he puts me right, on more occasions than I like to admit! Hope he's had a lovely day :)
Happy Birthday to him. If he's anything like my boys he won't be leaving home too soon haha :o) The oldest two are 23 and 20 and no signs of going yet ;o) xx
