@maggiemae It was at a sculpture gardens that I went to recently. I went earlier in the month and have kept meaning to use this photo. I forgot about it and had to finally post. I really loved the scene. I wonder if they meant to have it look that way or if it was broken? And thanks for your lovely comment on my selfie and fav on the giraffe shot. You are so sweet!
Beautifully captured Amanda....love your story that goes with it and hope that your pieces will be put back together soon. A lovely way to share your emotion.
Lovely composition and color -- great comment, too. Broken and unfinished things are sometimes more meaningful than intact and completed things. Finished and perfect don't speak as deeply of hopes and dreams.
@joemuli Right there with you. I've been stretching our food out all week. And today we are having eggs for dinner:). I so want to earn some income with photography. Must try harder and spend less time frittering away on here:).
Oh this is so beautiful and I love your story too! I wonder too if the pillars are meant to be that way. Great capture and good luck restoring your pillars. FAV
Such a beautiful shot and love the reflections that you captured. Sometimes it takes time to fix what is broken but worth it to try and wonderful when you succeed. FAV
Really like your sentiments here, for me it´s the same, try to fix things, try to mend things. It´s a spiritual jorney as I try to get reconnected with myself again, learning about meditation & stuff as I try to gain inner peace. It helps to get connected with the nature, for me it starts there. This looks like a wonderful place calm and find a connection to oneself. This is a beautiful meaningful shot & so very well framed
Gorgeous green scene. Love those willows! Gee, sorry to hear about broken pieces in your life and sure hope all works out. You always seem so cheery and happy & cover it well. God bless.
@pflaume@cimes1 Thanks, ladies...nothing major. Life is not falling apart or anything. Just broken friendships that needed mending. I contacted an old college roommate that I'd had a falling out with yesterday to apologize. I don't even know what had happened with us. It felt good to set things right. Stuff like that.
Wonderful shot and your words match this pictures so well. I guess we never stop fixing something or other, I certainly have plenty to do... Hope you get the important fixes sorted :-)
Instant fav! This is such a beautiful place. Your words are so meaningful. The word "contrite" came to mind so I looked it up in the concordance and found it in Isaiah 57:15 "For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, 'I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.'"
Love the capture and the story! You are headed in the right direction. Awesome! It takes a strong person to apologize(I could stand do do some of that myself)!
@bellasmom I find it harder when it's my husband. For some reason that is more personal and difficult. Thanks, lady. We all have fixing...a bunch of fixer uppers:).
