Let Freedom Ring

I was passing through Philly today for the 4th of July and had to get over to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Two big symbols of American freedom. Independence Hall is where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were debated and finally signed. It was pretty awesome to see today!

Back home from a New England road and camping trip. Lots and lots of photos to share. So grateful to be back and looking forward to my own bed and AC tonight:).

Happy 4th!!
Awesome!! Fav

Great capture - love that you got two bells in -- "the" bell and the one in the hall's tower.

Another favorite and love the way you caught the Liberty Bell. Hey, did you get a picture of Rocky??? FAV!
July 5th, 2014
@cimes1 Rocky? Thanks so much for all your kind comments and favs. We popped in and out of here, too. Still had to drive all the way home. Security was crazy for the 4th...tons of people. Didn't even get in to Independence Hall...just saw the bell and the view.

@amandal Rocky the boxer :-) See http://www.visitphilly.com/museums-attractions/philadelphia/the-rocky-statue-and-the-rocky-steps/ Last time I was in Philly was in the 60s so never had a chance to see that. There weren't all those crowds in those days and no security.

@cimes1 Oh shoot, missed that. Philly was great. Gotta get back. Not too bad of a trip from home.

How long did you have to wait to get a decent shot of the bell? When I was there, it was in October and I had to be very patient and wait for the majority of the mob to clear. I thought it was worth it. Did you also swing by Betsy Ross's house? It is a short walk from the bell.

Just a few minutes, thankfully. Somehow people didn't get in my way for a sec. No, missed that. Just saw this and hit the road for home. Gotta go back as philly was pretty cool. Where is your shot? @jsw0109
