Loving my butterfly bush. I spent a few peaceful moments recently hanging out with this gorgeous tiger swallowtail as the kids were inside getting ready to go somewhere. Times of sweet peace. They are few and far between for me this summer with 3 kids buzzing around the house.
Summer is wearing on. It ways I am very much looking forward to back to school, but it also means that my littlest is starting school and I will have schoolkids from here on out. Freaking out a bit when I think about it.
Thank you for all of your support with my photos this week. I really appreciate you.
Oh and as an interesting side note, last night I received a payment for a project that I was commissioned with last year. One that I did, but told the friend not to worry about it, he's like family, as I worked with him and he was a friend for years. It was in the form of a gift card and now I can buy that new camera bag that I desperately need...mine is ripping and looks so ghetto. He also said that he loves telling people that he commissioned an artist to take the photos. The unexpected payment and the title of artist made me feel so good. Hope that this is just the start of things to come with my love of photography. In case you are wondering, here are the shots he commissioned me to take: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-11-09
Ha ha ha ha! You always make me smile with your captions Amanda! Lovely capture and beautifully soft around the edges. Enjoy your days with your little ones ... all too soon they will be at University and away ... I know! :-)
@jamibann Thanks so much for your lovely words, Issi. love to bring smiles. I will have a beautiful and blessed day. I have to tell myself that so I remember to and not get caught up in the crap.:)
This is a wonderful image, Amanda! I am the youngest child, and when I started kindergarten, a friend asked my mother, "What will you do now that you will have the house to yourself all day?" My mother replied, "One thing is that I plan to do is to take a bath without an audience." @mbemis
Haha, the only time back hear would be sexy! Congrats on your paid shoot, if I got paid for anything I had taken, I would probably put it towards new gear too!
Beautiful butterfly! You're a very creative and fun person, a well deserved camera bag and artist title. And the youngest going to school, she's probably really looking forward to it and not aware of mummy's melancholy :-)
@joemuli Yeah, mine just looks like crap and is not trendy at all. I got the cheapest thing I could find from China and it is literally falling apart, crap coming out of the holes. Must get a cool satchely thing. Maybe upgrade to the backpack someday when I have more gear. Thanks!
@kerristephens Thank you, Kerri!!
