Looking high and low for his lost friend, Pooh. He left nary a stone unturned.
"Tut tut, looks like rain!" he said hopefully. Silence except for a twittering bird and the gurgle of the creek.
"Where oh where is my friend? Where could he be?" Christopher was getting concerned and a frown creased his brow.
"Oh yes, here is something I forgot to try...anyone want to share my honey? I've a fresh new pot."
That did the trick and a wonderfully concealed Pooh in his new camouflage shirt swung out of the trees to share the sticky sweet treat.
Lost no more and back where he belonged, Pooh happily dug in. What a good friend he had in Christopher.
This is really my son and he was horrified that I was going to call this Christopher Robin...he's 9 and Pooh is so lame to him. The other day our family hiked the overgrown trail in our neighborhood down to the creek where the kids waded and played in the water. It was pretty idyllic and peaceful a place. Here I was trying to capture the woods and I am not sure, but think that my son may have wandered into the shot. This is SOOC (straight out of camera and unedited) which is rare for me. I still had to play to be sure, but liked it vanilla in the end.
My grandkids all loved Pooh. I used to call any of their friends with the name Christopher, "Christopher Robin," and my grandkids got a charge out of that. Wonderful shot of your son who appears to be quite the little actor. Fav on the composition and beautiful nature setting.
What fabulous storytelling you are doing across so many photos, Amanda! Your imagination has no limits, and this is another wonderfully captured story. Good thing your son was cooperative!
Christopher Robin is never lame! Its timeless and quite delightful with this picture! Watch out Tigger doesn't leap out of those woods to frighten him!
I love it... the woods and the rocks are so beautiful. Love it that Christopher Robin is at the corner. I like Pooh. The photo fits the title very well :D
@newbank Keep those lovely woods shots coming. Seriously. Your b&w one was quite exceptional. Love the drama in the lighting. Love the peacefulness. Gosh I'm a tree hugger:).
If you'd seen what the b and w came from you'd not think that....surprised it turned out so well with processing and really was a one chance shot without making them come back and pose which just never works with my lot!!
@newbank I have made some amazing photos with processing. It's amazingly cool that you can turn something blah or just ok into art with a little fiddling. So weird for me that I posted sooc today as I really don't seem to do that anymore (not that I typically crazily over process, but I have to fiddle a bit).
Love that story! We have two sketches (copies) hanging above the staircase and the boys when they come down in the morning used to point and say bear, bear (it's a sketch of Christopher going downstairs dragging his bear behind him).
What a natural picture this is, love the green of the wood!
@leananiemand Yup, I do. Poor kid is often left out of my project. Usually I'm home all day with the smallest and she has so often been the star. This one is usually my photobomber. And lately I'm on a role with him...he's been in most of my recent shots. Making up for lost time, I guess. Thank yoU!
@pittcj17 Aw, thanks kindly Cindy!!
What a natural picture this is, love the green of the wood!
@kareenking Thanks so much, my friend!
