We were in a bookstore the other day. One of the coolest I had ever been in. It had 32 rooms and winding halls and stairways and narrow paths. And books. So many wonderful books.
Trouble was, I couldn't relax and browse as I was a bit on edge trying to keep us all together and keep track of the kids. I used to opportunity to take some photos.
This was one I took after I had take a series of Lucas reading. I kept moving up closer and closer until I got really close, creepily close.
I want to focus more on faces this year. Not sure how my year will pan out or how much I will be around. Really struggling with the adjustment to the new schedule.
I can't figure out working out yet. Have worked 2 times this week, but yesterday was a snow day for the kids and today I found out the sitter has a sick child. So much scrambling. Not easy right off the bat.
So this is Lucas, his little quirky expression, those amazing eyes. He's my comedian, this kid. Always cracking a joke, trying to make people laugh. Often, I don't appreciate it. His timing is off. Sometimes I need to laugh more and roll with it. My fun boy.
Yup, I can see the fun. It's in his eyes and his smile. Your idea of taking lots of face pictures in the coming year is a good one. You won't regret having all the detailed photos of your kid's young expressions.
