This was my daughter, Emily, getting off of the school bus cheering in the summer. A minute later she was in tears because she misses her teacher already. The end of the school year is such a bittersweet time. Things will never be the same.
Lucas finished 4th grade today, Emily finished 3rd, and Clara, my littlest, completed Kindergarten. 2 of my 3 will be in different schools next year.

We'll be facing that, too, in a couple of weeks. It's so bittersweet, isn't it? On one hand I can't wait to have my kids all day. On the other hand...my kids will be here ALL day.... Such a look of joy on her face.
Wonderful exuberance at the start of summer... I used to feel the same way. She must have a great teacher, to miss her so soon. You capture your family moments so beautifully. :)
Awww, are children so sweet. We still have 3 more weeks of school to go here. At least this month is full of fun things, which they missed out on last year due to teachers strikes. I bet you have a fun summer planned for them!
