Life at the water's edge

You stay afloat,
You touch the shores;
What is in the ocean deep,
Invisible to the eyes
As they skim the surface.
I sense an ease to just be.

A slight tremor of a wave,
A sound of a cursory wave,
rising to meet me.
I pause to delve within
A deep sea in me;

I no longer am taken by a cursory wave,
I sense the depths of the sea;
I skim not on the surface,
I do glance at the shore....

But where I belong...
In my heart....
I pause, I know.

I like your choice of framing here Amrita and of course your wonderfully poetic words.
