Read that the males migrate first, with the females arriving 1-2 weeks later. Checked my photos, up until today all were of male hummingbirds. She is right on time!

Fantastic capture of Ms. Hummingbird! Since we're farther south, ours arrived back in March. On your hummer photo of May 12th I commented that you inspired/motivated me to get some hummer photos in the trees instead of at the feeders . . . I finally attempted some of those shots yesterday. Wheww...not the easiest shots to get, that's for sure. I'll definitely try for more in the future. :-)
@gaylewood love your “in the tree” shot! Definitely a challenge. I had the camera focused on the feeder today and of course, a hummingbird landed in the tree above it and sat there looking at me....:). Will probably be out tomorrow trying again. It’s addicting...!
