Today’s sighting as we walked along the river was this cormorant in a treetop on the other side of the river. Looks odd to me to see a web-footed bird in a tree.

Lovely shot of this neat looking bird. We have quite a few here at our dams, they tend to go into trees quite often, no idea why though.
