Saw lots of birds, turtles, a muskrat, etc. & we were headed back to our car yesterday at the nature center. This hawk came swooping in and landed 50 feet in front of us. However, between us and the hawk was a family with two small children who immediately started yelling (understandably), so had to grab a quick shot as I knew it wouldn’t stay long. The challenges of bird-watching!
Nice find.

Those faces with the intense eyes and hooked beak always seem so primeval to me. Lovely visitor

@ilovelenses @lyndamcg In Michigan we are under “stay at home” orders but may go out to grocery stores, pharmacies, care for elderly relatives, and outdoor exercise. Nature areas have all buildings closed and playgrounds, etc. closed off. Hiking trails are available and encouraged. Social distancing must be observed.
