Centaur by andycoleborn

Centaur

As I hadn't taken anything during the day, I used my fail-safe option of popping to Canary Wharf after work where there's always something interesting to take.

This centaur bronze statue sits outside one of the tube entrances, surrounded by glass skyscrapers full of those damn bankers :-)!. No mention of who created the piece but a few minutes checking the web and it was cast by Igor Mitoraj in 1994 (gotta love the interweb sometimes...)

Bad accident outside the office this morning, a van smacked into the back of a car.. the car's roof was cut off (or peeled back like a tin can to be precise) to get to the driver. Did think about grabbing a snap but decided it was in poor taste..

Just watching "Grow your own drugs", don't worry, it's all herbal stuff and quite interesting whilst my chilli con carne simmers...
I *Love* this image and composition! How nice you have access to some wonderful options late in the day!

Great perspective -- especially with the contrast against the building. Lucky to have so many interesting things to shoot.
