Half a mile from London's Square Mile, you will find this little pocket of squalor and degradation. Around, lay all the signs that this neglected little corner is frequented by prostitutes, dossers and druggies. When I visited during lunch, it’s just a sad indictment that for a section in the community, this is their life.!
How abandoned must people be that they seek out filthy places like this?
How desperate must people be to visit a prostitute who calls this their place of work!?!?!
I came across this place last week when I did a little photo shoot along Brick Lane, thought I’d revisit today for this weeks’ theme.
It's amazing what a different feeling this image is in black & white (compared to the color one on the slideshow.) It's a lot more emotive in b&w--great choice.
Great photograph, but very sad.
London's full of places like that, turn a corner and its a completely different world. I guess it feels like that for the folk who's world is squalor too...
