Wow... What a long day! I'm not sure if it's the same in Calcutta or elsewhere in India, but Puja in London seems to consist of visiting as many Puja's as is possible....
I know this isn't a shot of the festivals, and more like a wedding shot (future practice maybe...) But thought it such a nice pic of Sangeeta just before Puja number 1....
In the morning we headed off to Slough, where there was a big gathering, again much scoffing and watching the acts of worship before heading to a couple of minor venues.
Then it was onto a rather grand settings in Ealing where we spent much of the night before ending in Bethnal Green - again eating at every stop..
Blimey! Puja's seem to consist of eating, eating, laughing, meeting up with long lost acquaintances before a bit more eating... Home at midnight and straight to bed....
