Walked past this statue at Canary Wharf this evening which has been lightly dusted by a brief snow fall this lunchtime and I immediately thought he looked like he was belting out a number in the cold, snowy weather...
It's actually a piece by Giles Penny called (imaginatively) 'Man with Arms Open' ....
Anyhow... back to the snow. Only lasted an hour or so and left about a half inch, but then the clouds cleared and the temperature dropped.. Minus 4 now.!
The snow has turned to ice and is so slippery out... Have seen a few cars slide past me as I myself slid home this evening. Supposed to be going to Portsmouth tomorrow to see the game and pop in and drop my parents presents off... Hope the weather holds off but am doubting it at the moment.
Had to get some things out of my car when I got home, but the boot was frozen solid...! Now that's never happened to me before!
Oh - and in case you are interested, the camera made it through last night's party but some twat lost the lens cover... One hungover colleague's thinks he may have eaten it!!! LOL
@parisouailleurs thanks so much Helene :-)... Yeah, about a cm fell at lunchtime, but plenty more is due in the south on England over the next few days - or so the weathermen tell us... Maybe in France in time for Christmas?!?!?
This is wonderful! He does quite look like he's singing. The weather sounds dreadfully cold! Hopefully you can get your stuff out of the trunk tomorrow. And stay safe on all the ice!
PS crickets now interesting FINALLY! :D
