I left work a little before 5pm tonight and headed to Greenwich to have a look around and take some photos - I'd left it a little late and the gloomy day didn't help, so what photos I did take, weren't the best.
The buildings that make up the Naval College are magnificent.. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1696 and 1712, it was originally constructed as the Greenwich Hospital before serving as a naval college up until 1998.
If you are ever in London, it's worth getting yourself to Greenwich for the day... probably the best way is to use the river ferry from Westminster meaning you'll get some great views as you head east along the river.
The big news of the day is Mubarek stepping down in Egypt... hope during this uncertain period, things go as smoothly as possible for the people over there...
Interesting pov. I agree Greenwich is a briliiant place to visit with some great views from the naval college and the Royal Observatory. - its best to take a day out then you can stop for a beverage or two en route ( a summer 365 trip?)
I have been watching BBC news re the situation in Egypt - riviting stuff which also inspired my pic for today!
