Had the day off and drove the hour or so down to Canterbury to see the wonderful catherdral and take in some history and culture.
It is a truly wonderful building, over 1000 years history and one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England and forms part of a World Heritage Site.
It's the cathedral of the Archbishop of Canterbury, leader of the Church of England and symbolic leader of the worldwide Anglican Church.
Whilst we were in there, we were lucky to catch the choir in pracice - not sure what the music is called, but it was haunting and very fitting for the environment..
And what of my Canterbury Tale??... Well... I became engaged :-)..
A very good day....
We celebrated with a visit to Saravanaa Bhavan.. a top class South Indian restuarant in East London...

Total congratulations Andy - that's great news! Lovely portrait nicely focused. The cathedral's great isn't it? I had a memorable walking trip a few years back where we walked from Borough High Street to Canterbury over a week in the footsteps of the Canterbury Tales pilgrims - great fun.
