Birds of a Feather

Two days, two comedy programme titles.. Add to this my Nags Head image from my other album yesterday, and it's three in four photos playing homage to British comedy series....

Work throws up some odd photo opportunities.. in the last couple of weeks I've had to photograph a burnt out flat where two people died, some new build housing, an international woman's day event, some ID card photos and today a chicken!!!

A local resident has turned a unused piece of communal land into allotments for residents of a tower block.. Last week, he got some chickens and along with loads of fresh fruit and veg, residents can now enjoy daily free range eggs... Not bad for inner city living..

Focus isn't great here as I was holding the camera at ground level and just flicking off snaps.
wow..that is a great shot....impressive.

Awesome shot! I love the eye!

I like the focus on the eye only. She was keeping an eye on you!

Love the way it looks like she has come to investigate your camera! Funny that this popped up. Just listening/watching a DVD on helping business get their vision. The slide I'd taken a 365 break on was a headless chicken - what people/businesses feel when they have no purpose or direction!! Nice to find yours has a head!

Liked your story too - what is it you do for a living?

Nice detail Andy.

My roosters always look at me like that when I bring out the camera. One will jump up to bite my fingers as if to tell me to go away lol

I was just going to say the focus was fab, but if you don't like it... For an ugly chicken shot this is really cool.

Aww, poor old Liverpool, is right. It's all part of my plan though. We're expecting a baby in May so had to make sure we were out of all competitions just in case. I would say they could win it next year, but at this rate, they'll never qualify.
Funny picture. I'm so behind. Need to get my photo rhythm going again!!

The focus works. One extreme chicken shot. Do you think this chicken worked with the bank robbing husbands?
March 19th, 2011
great focus...the chicken looked angry and scary though...
March 19th, 2011
no way would I ever get that close to a chicken unless it was dead on my plate, but I must say it makes for a wonderful photo!!

Oh my gosh--I totally love this close-up but I'm amazed you didn't get pecked
