I'm not in the slightest bit a Royalist but I am happy for the couple getting married tomorrow as it means an extra day off work... :-)
Despite not being that interested, I thought I'd pop up to see what's going on after work and grab a few snaps.. Lots of police and security about, it was good that you could still get up close, yards from the venue (Westminster Abbey) or stand in the middle of the Mall snapping away..
Plenty of people grabbing their spot, setting out their tent and getting ready for a night under the stars.. I noticed there seemed as many American accents and British..!! Have to say though, there was a feeling of joy and excitement in the air...

crazy....however, I knew it would be crazy but i love that you put this together for us so we could feel like we were part of the preparations and festivities.
very cool ! ,,,, im as u have described yourself lol " not that interested" in the wedding hehe , but all the public hype around it is quite interesting , theres something going on in st andrews tomorrow but altho its only 25 mins drive from me i cant get there so will miss getting shots like this :(
cool collage! have started to really appreciate collages as a means of giving a more holistic picture of an event...have also come to appreciate the ammount of work you need to compose one! well done! :)
The one of big ben is awwwwwwesome! Must admit I am a bit fascinated by the whole thing but wont be getting up at 430 in the morning to watch it...may catch the replays. Hey you gotta see what her dress looks like
If you guys in London are not that interested .. Just think what us northern lot think ... Lol ... I am having a ton of top soil delivered tomorrow Andy using my extra day off to do some gardening , .. Nice shots but do these people have any lives ?
As much of an Anglophile as I am, I too don't have much interest in the royals. Still, I find this wedding hoopla to be amusing so I'm quite enjoying your pictures. Enjoy your day off!
Love your royal family! :D
It's been crazy here in Finland too, all you can see in the tv is documents of the royal family, of all the previous weddings and the must-haves of Kate and William "how did they get to this point". With all this almost annoying mayhem I still am waiting to see the wedding, the hopeless little romantic that I am. :D
He he Great collage Andy and now I will read the thread about plagiarism. Can you tell me how you managed to do a collage like that. I use photoshop elements and seem a bit limited in my choice,,,unless I am missing something. PS I too am not a royalist and thought I would capture everybody else, having said that I will be out taking pics of a street party later today lol!
Well captured Andy - nice to see something of the Guantanamo protest captured. I've avoided the whole thing so little snippets like this can be enjoyed!!
Great collage, love that Big Ben shot surrounded by flags. I'm not surprised you were hearing a lot of US accents, the wedding is huge here - fairy tale and all that and not having any royal in our daily lives makes it all the more charming. For many I'm sure this was the trip of a lifetime.

@cirasj The Mall (bottom left pic) is the name of the long straight 'red' road linking Buckingham Palace to Admiralty Arch..
