It was photo 730 and completion of year 2 today, so wanting to get a half decent pic to mark the occasion, I headed off to St Paul's Cathedral as the protesters were still there and I guessed there might be some interesting sights to snap...
I like to keep my pics 8x5 (No reason why... I just do...) but felt by cropping this shot, I'd lose the strength of columns behind the guy...
By the way, he's reading Restless Cities, a book that attempts to define urban life as akin to diagnosing some pervasive malady or "a state of delirium so habitual as to be almost unnoticeable".. or so a review I found says..!!
A fantastic shot... taking me back to last July when I was on your side of the world. Wonderful capture of textures and love the B&W.
Congratulations on finishing year 2... did you go straight through or have a break in between?
Hey congrats on reaching the end of year 2! Mine approaches at the end of the year. Do you think he is really reading this book or just being a poser.....prob got the Beano inside!! Must say I've had enough of the protestors now, they've made thier point, now let St Pauls work in peace. He looks a bit like Tintin! Love the columns!
Two years, Congratulations Andy. I really like this shot the best. The columns make it for me. Well done. Looking forward to year 3! I am meeting Isla Wight the night of of Nov 2nd for drinks hope you can join us. The location is still being determined. Check with Isla for location.
this is a great 'spot' andy ...i prefer this to the other picture, because the frame is empty and uncluttered, allowing us to concentrate on the subject
Great PoV! Congrats on the 2 year mark, no small measure of dedication as we all know how some days are lacking of inspiration, time or energy. Love this in B&W.
I prefer this of the two Reader pics. Maybe because I like the contrast - old stone architecture; modern, fluid person. Congratulations on the milestone.
