This photo is taken on the right day but just a catch up, so no comments are necessary... but I thank you all for you comment if you do...
As I treat this project as a semi-diary, I will try to detail the day as it was...
Sangeeta wanted to come and see Dad, but I really didn't want her to remember him in this way, but as the stong man she knew. But by lunchtime, I did ask her to drive down as Dad wouldn't last long and I knew she loved him so much and that he also loved her in the very short time they had together, that I felt I must and should ask her to come.
I truly wish I asked her to come sooner, but I wanted to protect her from seeing Dad so very poorly and I hope one day she understands my reasoning..........
Sangeeta thankfully arrived before Dad passed away and was able to give my Mum a hug and give her love to my father.. I don't know if he knew, but I hope he did and I am sure he felt her love for him...
Sangeeta had to drive back to London that evening, leaving me driving aimlessly around, following old photo stop off points I'd enjoyed with Dad..... Including this spot at Hill Head where as a kid, we'd gone crabbing (fishing for crabs) and as photographer, snapped many shots of the sun setting over the Isle of Wight...
I am very pleased with this photo... but that really isn't important today..
Beautiful shot Andy for a wonderful time you shared together. Very sorry for your loss mate! I'm actually en route to southern Florida to see my dad who has not been well. Your in my thoughts and prayers.
