With almost all of the UK blanketed in a covering of snow, I was sort of glad to wake up this morning to find the deep south had missed out of the white stuff... Tis very nice to look at but a pain to drive in...
I'd been on the look out for a lone tree for yonks, even before Alison started her great collection of Extremely Lonely Tree tags, so when I spotted this view yesterday, I knew I would have to return for a shot..
Parked up nearby, leaving mum in the car and tracked up a side road to get a shot... Nothing I could do about the power lines and have no editing gear to remove I'm afraid...
Drove back to London in the late afternoon, seems the snow made it almost to the coast, but stopped about 10 miles short... Lots of lovely views heading back, but pretty unpleasant on the Motorway near London where it was very foggy...
Great ELT! There are all sorts of things that can help ELT's not be so lonely and power lines are one of them! Can't believe you still didn't see snow last night! Bet it was rubbish on the motorway - I only ventured 3 miles today and slip sliding everywhere! Thank goodness I'm working at home tomorrow!
May I borrow that tree, please?! Been looking for a lone tree for months here. Have not seen one yet. This is so beautiful in it's simplicity . . lines and all.
rhetorical question. No need to answer.
