We went, well, let's say we planned on going to the theatre this evening.. Sangeeta has a contact that can occasionally get free tickets (all very hush hush)..
Unfortunately, once we got to the ticket office we found out we couldn't get tickets for the show so instead headed over to China Town for something to eat...
When we were in London last weekend I thought that there were many more of the old style red phone boxes than before, they all look great, so iconic and much nicer than the "modern" ones.
Oh, Andy, what a MARVELOUS city you live in! Ken and I spent the day on one of the tour busses and probably passed you by at some point. We arrived yesterday afternoon and spent a full day here, loving every minute! Had we been around longer, we'd have contacted you and your circle. We plan to be back someday soon...it's been exceptional! And oh yes, I got my pictures of your wonderful phone booths, too! Thought of you and Sangeeta often today! Hugs!
nice shot. perfect with the man and his man bag too. i was explaining phone boxes and pre-mobile existance to my 7 year old son and he said, ' was that in the olden days?' !!
Aren't they so photogenic! The authority concerned seems to be very choosy in where it leaves the old style boxes, I'm glad to say that we were deemed worthy in many of our small Lake District villages.
@Weezilou haha hello stranger... yeah, would have been nice to meet up and say hi... Glad you enjoyed a flying visit to London tho, shame about the rain... :-(... Can you please take that with you haha
