After watching what I and it seems many others thought, was a quite magnificent opening ceremony (to my utter surprise I have to add..), I got up late and intended on driving to Hampshire to see Mum..
Just got to my car when I realised I'd be passing near the men's road cycle race so thought better of it and spent the whole day sat on the sofa soaking up the Olympics instead....
Did get into the garden for a flower shot (yawn!) before heading indoors for more sporting action...
I liked the opening ceremony... Some parts were a bit off, but all in all, the effects were great. I watched your time and not mine and I'm glad for that because I heard today that our local network cut out part of the opening ceremony so those who didn't see it your time (I have exclusive advantage - and I'm not telling how either!) they missed the part that paid homage to the victims of the 7/7 attack. This is a lovely rose.
