Tyres and Bricks

Had a nightmare day!

Set off before 11am for Portsmouth to watch today's game only to get stuck on the M25 in a 4 hour 30mile+ jam before my car decided to break down!

Over an hour's wait before the AA man turned up to tell me my power steering drive belt had shreaded. He towed me off the motorway but it took nearly 2 hours to crawl 1.5 miles!

I was then left waiting by AA man number 1 (who's shift had ended) for 2 hours before AA man number 2 turned up to tow me back home.

Eventually got home about 8:30pm after spending nearly 10 hours on the road going roughly 40 miles.!!

God knows how much it'll cost to fix but after forking out nearly £600 a couple of months ago I'm seriously starting to dislike my car..!!!

Obviously I didn't get to the game and equally obviously, Pompey won their first home game of the season!

Mmm. Some bad luck mate. Except for the team perhaps. Hope it turns out for the best! Btw, you're not entirely alone. My car broke down too yesterday. Something with the exhaust I believe. I was able to drive back hone though... It sounds like a race monster now.

Hi Andy, thanks for your message. I'm giving it all a break for a while. Life is full on with stuff, you know how it is........I was heading for my mum's in Kingston on Saturday and saw the signs for this nightmare. Got onto the M25 and headed all the way round the other way!!! As soon as this was cleared someone 'fell' from a bridge at jct 11 and it jammed up again! Sorry you missed the game...what a terrible day!! but a great abstraty shot :-)

sounds like a truly pants journey!! That M3 journey sucks at the best of times, I always allow 3 hours to get to my Mum's near Andover from Stansted...but to have a breakdown too BAAAAHHHHHH!! hope you're having a better week now!!
