Sangeeta bought a car today - a mini.. Not new but damn good condition, full service history and pretty cool..
With some spare time in the afternoon, I popped down to Brick Lane for a couple of hours wandering about.. Did that rare thing here and asked if I could take their pic, then had to wait for a gap in the crowds to get just the two of them and the cat...
Couldn't decide in colour or b&w and umm'd and err'd for a while but settled n b&w in the end..
@seattle thanks Constance... had some chips from Poppies today - and was served by the girl in your pic :-) @maggiemae yep will do - next week tho when she collects...
got my Halina 3000 in the post this weekend, and I saw lots on ebay for less than I paid (I paid £13 but got 8 rolls of film free with it) it seems a lovely little thing, and the meter-fstop-shutter speed system seems ace. Can't wait to use it, did you persist??
@chewyteeth Bloody git rubbing it in :-).... Does look a nice little camera but haven't done anything yet as I paid £4 p&p and would have to pay another £4 just to get £10 back so might try to take apart and fix - have seen a vid on youtube of what the problem might be... other than that, if I can't fix, mght try to flog to one of the camera stalls in Brick Lane one day...
@andycoleborn
I may have already said this, but I bought an OM10 for £11 and it was sold as working but it didn't. the guy said he knew nothing about cameras, so I sold it. I sold it well, took the lens off, the case off, and broke it down to components. sold it as broken for £29. Maybe if you put it back on and add a quid to the postage, and describe the problem and link to the youtube video you'll get at least the same, maybe more. I dunno.
@chewyteeth Got my money back on the camera that never turned up so dabbled again on ebay and bought a Kodak Colorsnap 35 and Kodak Retinette 35mm with Schneider Reomar 45mm 3.5 lens for £18 in total... Lets see if these 1) turn up and 2) work.!!!
I can see Sangeeta in a mini...great car!
