Rohi in Mustard Curry by andycoleborn

Rohi in Mustard Curry

Cooked rohi - a freshwater Bengali fish in mustard curry this evening...

Very easy dish and you can use any firm fish...

- Marinate fish steaks in tumeric and chilli powder for a couple of hours
- marinate mustard seeds, poppy seeds and a couple of hot green chillis for a couple of hours then blend with half cup water until smooth
- fry fish in mustard oil until golden brown on all sides and remove
- heat mustard seeds, cumin and fennel seeds until popping
- add onion, garlic, ginger and chilli for 10 mins
- add blended mustard sauce heat for 10 mins
- add yougurt and heat gently for 5 mins
- add fish and heat through for 5 min
- sprinkle fresh corriander
- serve with white rice
Mmmmmmmmmmmm I have copied this down to use it, it looks delish Andy thank you

@cookie123 enjoy :-)... The mustard alone can be quite hot so you may want to go easy with the chillis...
