Drove down to Leigh-on-Sea this afternoon to get my fill of fresh seafood and take in a bit of sun...
I do lke Leigh... it's still a working fishing village and has plenty of shacks selling all sorts of fish plus a wide varierty of shellfish.. I scoffed a half pint of cockles and took home some crayfish, dressed crab and huge tiger prawns at just £1 each!!!
When the tide's out the estaury isn't the most attractive.. but some people stll enjoed the mud...
you can't beat esturay mud lol, my grandparents took me to leysdown all the time and I can remember being knee deep in it - my husband thinks it is disgusting and so we do not take our boys haha. By the way just to annoy you the weather at Dungeness today was fab ;D
@jpgiorgio really!! 'm sure I was in St George's Bay (I think that's what it was called - south coast) and the tide was out - was 20+ years back so prob mistaken...
@cazink Hmmm yeah - rather you than me... I saw the kids come out after playing in the mud and it wasn't a good look haha
