I'm beginning to appreciate what a stunning drive to work I have... this lovely cottage has always attracted me but usually has a land rover in front of it that's almost as big as the cottage. Today, triumph...no land rover... so out comes the camera again. My Dad thinks I'm going to land in jail with all this shooting outside other people's houses and he's probably right! Once again, I waited for the enraged householder to arrive on his drive but I managed a quick getaway before the reality. Honestly, if people will insist on living in such pretty houses, they must expect the paparazzi!!!
I'm admiring the lighting. It makes the cottage look mysterious without being frightening. Did you get close enough to read a name or have you conjured (get it?) that up yourself? Wonder who trims it back.
@emrob I'm kinda hoping not to get caught first but I'm sure you'll all back me up from 365 when I'm spending my night in the cells! Such a great community!
Beautiful shot. I know what you mean about shooting outside other people's houses and worrying about enraged owners. I'm a bit timid too but I was having a conversation at a local camera store the other day with someone who does a lot of street photography and he told me "you just have to be fearless!"
@gardencat I'll remember that cos the same house has a lovely arch with a really old fashioned door through it! I'll give then a month or so to forget me loitering outside their house...
@liversedge I do have such a lovely drive to work. Unfortunately, the last few weeks I've been so diverted by the views, houses, trees etc that I think I've been driving really unsafely!- Don't tell Mum!
