Our town centre is going through the same kind of change we are seeing in many UK centres where shops are finding it hard to survive against the internet. We always have at least 1 empty shop on our high street but we're a stoic population and we're still singing!
A wonderful shot and plenty of meaning. Our local town is supporting so many places where one can get a meal or coffee but unfortunately the shops are dying and I wonder how long people will come to eat in town if there are no shops to buy from before or afterwards.
@steampowered I think town centres need to open those specialist shops for the kind of stuff that we can't get on the internet. Unfortunately in Macclesfield, I seem to be a lone voice.
@onewing Absolutley I shall be carrying on- how could I leave you all?! We are all so bound up in each other's lives as we "follow" and I'd miss you all.
As for the closing of shops in UK town centres, we are suffering from the availability of the internet and the opening of the out of town shopping centres which do seem to thrive.

I noticed too that you are almost complete with your first year, are you carrying on again in 2014?
