GovHub Ballarat

A very plebeian name for a spectacular building. Designed by John Wardle Architects, it was completed in April 2021, but because of the pandemic is not yet fully operational. More information about the building here: https://www.johnwardlearchitects.com/projects/ballarat-govhub/

Next door and linked to it by a glass interconnecting corridor and garden is the 1950s Ballarat Civic Hall, recently redesigned and renovated into a modern civic space. Side by side the buildings tell a story of changing architectural impulses over time.
The interior looks quite impressive. Did they name this building late on a Friday afternoon?

LOL. I think that's a possibility, or after multiple committee meetings there was no agreement so the committee members adjourned for drinks and came up with GovHub!

Cool building but I love the perfect clouds on the side. Fav

Thankyou. I liked the way it reflects the sky and, for all its size, that contributes to the building 'disappearing' at times.

It's a fascinating building and the glass reflects the weather mood of the day.
