Taken on Wednesday while walking in Hepburn Springs exploring the Swiss-Italian heritage of the area, evident everywhere including in buildings like Villa Parma, the macaroni factory (Australia's first), the street signs and names.
Built in 1864, by Fabrizzio Crippa, a Swiss-Italian settler, heritage-listed Villa Parma was originally surrounded by orchards and was one of the earliest vineyards in the area.
I liked the lines of the pergola echoing the lines of this winter view of the house. In summer, the grape vines on the pergola only allow glimpses of the house.
