Not much time for photography this week so posting another photo from our travels. I took this one in Campo Manin, Venice, where I watched the subject of this photo take arrange herself in the most amazing poses around the winged lion at the base of the statue of Daniele Manin, by Luigi Borro. Manin was leader of the Venetian revolution (1848ā9) against Austrian occupation. He might have been gobsmacked at the liberties being taken with his statue!
Yes indeed. I spent some time watching and thinking about where the photo might end up being published and what the revolutionary red stockings and shoes might signify!
