Lovely shot like the reflection, they are bit like the Ringed snd Little Ringed Plovers we get over here in England but bigger.

@esox Killdeer is in the plover family, so your comparison is right on. They are unlike other shorebirds, though, in that you find them away from water, such as on farms, quite a bit.
